EXECUTIVE PRODUCER / WRITER

Joe is an award-winning artist, writer, and producer. He is the Creator of the KEMET comic property. He is a Guinness World Record Holder for creating the World's Longest Comic  Strip, and a Daily Point of Light Recipient from The White House. He and his work has appeared in People, Ebony, GQ and Jet Magazine, the Boston Globe, New York Times, C-Span, CNN, the Black Family Channel and other national media outlets.

SENIOR PRODUCER / WRITER 

Robenia McKinley's professional expertise includes over 30 years as a child care professional, with experience as a principal, teacher, program developer and entrepreneur of a preschool.  

As a writer, she has self-published a children's book titled Sir Frederick Squirrel of Canterbury.  Ms. McKinley has been a contributing writer for various publications such as the City Beat Magazine, The Inquiring News and others.  

She is also an Associate Producer at Joe Young Entertainment, working on numerous youth and video projects.  She has just completed her first Afrocentric children's novel, The Weaverbirds. 

SENIOR PRODUCER

Kyle Young has always been surrounded by art, whether it was the work of his artist dad Joe Young Jr. or music. But it’s the music that has really moved Kyle. Born in Hartford, Kyle grew up in Springfield, Mass where his grandfather’s piano and then a Casio keyboard gave Kyle a way to express himself through creating beats and music.

Kyle graduated in 2011 with a BFA in Cinema and Television from Columbia College Hollywood in Los Angeles. Kyle’s music has been on national TV, and his songs have been used in films, such as Collabo’s “Can You” in Copper Penny and Morbid: A Love Story. 

Kyle has also founded his own clothing brand YOURADICA and continues to work on various media projects in Los Angeles.

SENIOR PRODUCER / DIGITAL CONTENT CREATOR

Paige Young is an American singer, influencer, writer, and actress from Massachusetts. Paige studied theatre acting for four years at a performing arts academy. She began creating music in college, but started pursuing music professionally while living in South Korea.

Paige has drawn attention as a persona on social media - with popular series on TikTok and Instagram along with travel vlogs and storytimes on YouTube.

In addition, Paige has also co-written multiple comic books .

Lori Thompson was born and raised in Hartford along with 6 brothers and sisters. Lori graduated from Northwest Catholic High in 1980, then went on to attend Hartford College for Women, where she graduated in 1982 with an Associates Degree and her Bachelors Degree in Early childhood Education in 1984 from Lesley College in Cambridge, Mass.

Lori began her teaching career at M.D.Fox School in November of 1986 and retired from teaching in May 2018. 

Lori has 3 adult daughter and presently lives in Ellington, CT.

 BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / MEDIA SPECIALIST

Lauren McKinley loves working with companies that are making a difference in the lives of people. She spent over 10 years working in the non-profit sector, finding and resourcing foster families.

From there, she moved into the corporate sector to focus on sales and marketing.  

She and her husband currently live in San Diego, CA with their three children and are working together to launch their own non-profit organization.
